Kyle Patrick Darling

I was born on April 10, 1987 (I'm an Aries), to my parents, Carolyn Darling and Patrick Darling. I have a younger brother, Kevin Darling, and an older, half-brother, Jeffrey Darling. Over the years, I have also had many amazing pets that I'm very happy to call part of the family. I have a dog and cat named Circus and Legend. I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Vermont, in a little town called Northfield.

Ever since a very young age, I always knew I had the so-called itch to entertain. I was always putting on shows of some sort or playing make believe...and yes, I still enjoy doing those things. Once I hit my teens, in school, I began venturing out some into the school plays and drama class. As a senior in high school, I began studying with the well-respected acting class Carter Thor Studios. And while still in school, I performed in a play that won 2nd place at the talent show. After I was done with school, most of my friends went off to college, but I knew that wasn't for me. This is when I knew what I wanted to do. Either act or sing. I tried my hand at singing, but realized I didn't really have a 'singing voice'. So acting was the way, along with my other passion, lyric writing. I stuck with studying with my acting class (which later shifted into independent acting study with Richard Waterhouse), I started landing supporting roles in great theater shows around Vermont, such as portraying Peter van Daan in 'The Diary of Anne Frank' and more, and I also started to land film work in Vermont, as well in Boston and NYC. This is when the itch became stronger and I knew I had to make the move to Hollywood if I wanted to make this passion into a career. So that's what I did, saved my money and headed west.

Once I made it to Hollywood and after settling in some, I began to study with a top-rated acting school, the Ivana Chubbuck Studio. I also landed roles (and some modeling gigs) in theater, film, and the nationally known show for MTV, 'Parental Control'. I was there for about a year and half and after experiencing some hard times and being so far away from home for the first time ever in life, I decided to head back to the east coast to really figure things out.

So there I was, back home. I started studying again with my old class. And I was cast in the leading role of a new play called 'Shortbread'. It was performed as part of the Slam Festival. The show was the runner-up during the contest, in which it received great reviews. After being back for a little bit, I did a little bit of film work as well. But as more time went by, the more I realized that the west coast was where I really needed to be if I wanted anything to happen with my career. I took a deep breath, regained my ground, thought out a plan, saved my money, packed my bags and set sail once again for the west coast.

So that brings us to here and now (ok, I admit, that was just the outline of my life journey so far...maybe one day I'll write a book). It's been a little over 2 years since I've been back in the City of Angels and I couldn't be happier. Yes, I do miss my family and friends...but I know they're never too far away. My career is going better than ever right now and I feel like this is just the beginning. I have filmed a leading role in a short film called 'Undetectable' and a supporting role in the feature length movie 'The Surface', both of which are now complete and are heading to film festivals this year. I have filmed a guest starring role in the web series 'We, The Band', which is being released online in the coming months. A song a friend and I wrote called 'Curtain Call' was performed on the famous Sunset Strip at Whiskey A GoGo. And perhaps my most high profile gig so far was landing the leading role in the official music video for the song 'A Place To Go' by Investo and featuring Tara McDonald and directed by the great Edward John Drake. It has been released all over the world, having great views on YouTube and getting MTV Clip of the Week (Greece). I've studied with Killian's Commercial Workshop and with The Second City improv class and am currently looking for an improve class. I've signed commercially with an agency and am looking for representation theatrically and for a manager. I also have some awesome new projects in the works! I'm really looking forward to seeing what this year brings me and I know the sky is the limit. When you want something bad enough, there's no stopping you. You live it, you breathe it. And I love turning my dream into reality, one day at a time.
